ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Bettie Rage, your favorite nerdy goth mom, dungeon mistress of chaos, and full-time spellcaster of sarcasm, with enough “free mom hugs” to go around.

I mix fantasy lore (like D&D or LOTR), pop culture commentary, and a smoky eyeshadow or two to create nerdy content that’s as informative as it is dramatic. If you’ve ever wanted your fantasy worlds explained like gossip at a glam funeral, you’re in exactly the right place.

From breaking down the Weave on Lashes & Lore, to crafting affirmations for modern-day adventurers, to creating a space for everyone at mom’s table, my mission is simple: make magic feel personal, accessible, and unapologetically weird.

That’s also why I started Welcome to Mom’s Table, a series for D&D beginners, where the only rule is that D&D is for everyone, and there’s zero gatekeeping allowed.

So pour a cup of tea (or something stronger), throw on your darkest lipstick, and let’s talk monsters, makeup, and mom hugs, with love, eyeliner, and a healthy dash of doom.

lashes & lore

Lashes & Lore is a long-form YouTube series where gothic glam collides with geeky deep dives. Hosted by Bettie Rage, your favorite nerdy goth mom, the show unpacks fantasy lore with humor, sarcasm, and a full face of makeup. Each episode blends dramatic storytelling, real history, and beauty-fueled commentary to make even the darkest corners of the multitudes of multiverses feel fabulous, fun, and accessible to everyone.

Because honestly, why can’t we slay eyeliner and undead lore at the same time?

welcome to mom’s table:

Welcome to Mom’s Table: D&D for Beginners is an entertaining, educational video series designed to help brand-new players understand Dungeons & Dragons in a clear, approachable way. It’s made for anyone curious about the game but unsure where to start, including adults learning for the first time, parents learning alongside their kids, teens joining their first table, and educators or community leaders introducing tabletop roleplaying games.

The series breaks down core D&D concepts in plain language, focusing on how the game works and why, rather than overwhelming viewers with rules. The tone is intentionally calm, supportive, and family-friendly, with no gatekeeping, no shaming, and no assumption of prior knowledge. This is a safe entry point into D&D, built to help new players feel confident, curious, and welcome at the table.

Swole Initiative network

Catch me live on The Swole Initiative Network, a TTRPG Twitch channel & YouTube channel. I bring my signature mix of heart, humor, and high drama to the table as a player and GM in chaotic campaigns that flex just as hard emotionally as they do narratively. We are a group of best friends who love storytelling almost as much as we love each other.

Whether I'm roleplaying a Grave Domain Cleric, rolling nat 1s with flair, or helping to build unforgettable worlds, my goal is simple: make every session feel like a cinematic event—with jokes, feels, and just a little goth sparkle.
